I can't believe I still don't have this...
>>138374Me neither. I figured a time traveler would have one of each existent thing.
>>138374Really? Seemed like it was getting referenced and linked to like every other day for a while there.
>>138376Not really, It's not a glamorous lifestyle. We time travellers usually wear the same clothes and rarely bathe.I have a few of the other doujins, and this one is referenced to the most, I'm glad to get it now.

I found this on Share when looking for Chapter 56 this morning. If you'll remember, in Natsue Kaze part 1, Fuuka is repeatedly raped by her father. This one has a softer tone, where Fuuka tags along with Shimauu on a paid date after school, then eventually decides to join in. http://rapidshare.com/files/140650949/Natsu_Kaze_2.rar
Osaka's Note to Self: Drill air holes next time.
Kasuga Ayumu had reached her limit. It was now Mid-August which meant she had been separated from Chiyo Chan for more than two months. Two months, and all she had to show was three dog-eared letters and two very expensive long-distance phone calls. True, when school had ended and she'd gone to University, and Chiyo to America, she had sworn to maintain a certain fidelity. She would date occasionally, but merely as amusement. She would remain faithful.
Who sees where i'm going with this?
:)
here?
>>138637Nice
YOTSUBA KOIWAI
I can't look at her expression without giggling.
Okay, anyone know when the next Y&! chapter is coming? It's been so long now, and I don't think I can stay sane without my monthly fix.Picture sort of related.

If we're getting one this month, then it should be out tomorrow. If not, then we get to wait another month.Another agonizing month. I'm gettin' the shakes here, man.

Why yes, I do believe it is.
Yes, and I now declare you to be our messiah.I also predict a lot of new drug-related edits of Yotsuba dropping the accorns.

>>138595I obviously have no idea how things are wherever you live, but around here you can just get state IDs without getting a driver's license.
>>138595And that's why we have the worst drivers in the world.Anyway, you can get an ID without a license in California. I can, at least. They somehow managed to mistake me for a "female", though. >>138596Can I use you as a bus?

>>138602I was hoping to put a saddle on your back and put that mouth guard on you in case you go crazy and start foaming. After that, we can start a career together by entering horse races at the Kentucky Derby and galloping tournaments. I'll give you the finest Mr. Tadakichi meat to give you a silky coat! What say, you?

Azumanga Daioh is coming out State side again in another smaller and most likely cheaper boxset.10/14/2008.Was there really any point to it? The last collection was pretty cheap, surely it's not out of print already?

>>138552 Another Brit! Hi! Sometimes feel a bit lonely in here.I got the individual DVD's, but recently lucked into the jumbo U.S. edition of all the manga volumes together in one, at a charity shop. Cost me just 3GBP! Loses the colour pages, but to balance that the actual page size is about 25% bigger. Bargain of the millenium-so-far!

>>138555If you're amazed at that price, note that back in the 90's it was common for Japanese LDs to cost about $100 or so each, and that was often only THIRTY MINUTES worth of video--an hour if you were lucky.A typical TV series (26x 30-min episodes) was usually released on 13 discs which worked out to about $1300.VC: cash (wasn't that appropriate!)

>>138552I got the complete collection for ~£25 off Amazon. I just don't see why companies put the RRP at £60 over here for boxsets and £20 per volume. Espeically when I can just get region free software for my PCs DVD drive and buy an American DVD for about a quarter of the price.

>>138612I think they do it by sticking their fingers in their ears, looking at the ground, and going 'laalaalalalalalala' whenever they're anywhere near the 'TV Series Boxed Sets' bit of any DVD store.
>>138552I pre-ordered the box set from Amazon when it came out last October. Anyway, £60 the lighter (another Britfag here), and I've watched it once because a) I feel slightly odd watching anime on the TV in the living room instead of on my laptop and b) I much prefer the fansub to ADV's sub - 'Asagawa Yuu with "My heart is that of a young girl and I parachute"...'

>>138612Shops like Netto, Lidl or even Asda have Region Free DVD players from unpopular and unknown companies for about £15 or more.Though Asda's £10 DVD is region free, it's very fussy, the Dragonball Z DVDs are region 2 as well as 1 and 4 but they won't usually play on that one. Sometimes a tiny tiny scratch makes the DVD player unable to detect the disc, damn technology.ADV DVDs in the UK were low quality too, it was a rare thing if I got them playing on just a Region 2 DVD player.

So reading horror comics is allright, but reading Azumanga is 'eww'? Huh. Fact that she had to look up Yotsubato gave me the idea that she wasn't very familiar with Azuma's work to begin with, no offense to your pen pal intended, by the way. >>the fanbase can be quite creepy at times.Okay, but I think this can be said about most anime/manga titles out there.

>>137769 In another potential derailment, I used to work at a video store where a man and his 12 year old son were renting some games and movies. The man rented Kinsey, a very good movie, but with some very explicit sexual imagery and discussion (in a very educational and not at all pornographic manner). Nonetheless, when the man asked me if I thought it was something his young son could watch, I said probably not.He then proceded to hand me the video game his son had selected, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. When his son then protested not being allowed to watch the movie saying "But that game is way more adult, you can run people over and beat up hookers!" to which his dad responded "Yeah, but there's no sex in it." note: this was mere weeks before the infamous "Hot Coffee" scandal
